Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Position Summary Description:

Working with a regional team the Pre-Sales Systems Engineer for North America region is responsible for opportunity qualification, product demonstrations, technical presentations and on-site product installation, training and support. Travel availability required.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:

  • Responsible for pre-sales technical support and technical account management of the project.
  • Perform training and demonstrations for our partners, customers, and sales team helping them understand how to deploy CyberStream Networks business solutions.
  • Assist in the design and integration architecture of the business solution.

Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

  • Self-starter with the ability to handle Large Scale projects with little supervision.
  • 3+ yrs experience supporting technical sales of enterprise network solutions to corporate accounts.
  • 2-5 yearrs experience in networking technologies including SNMP, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP. Experience with network devices (switches, routers, servers, VM's, applications, VoIP and firewalls) in Intranet/Internet/Extranet environments.
  • General knowledge of cloud and virtualization.
  • Strong Windows and Linux (RedHat preferred) O/S knowledge is required.
  • Experience with Database management (Sybase/Oracle/MSSQL) desired.
  • Windows /Active Directory experience would be a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
  • Ability to articulate product value and solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
  • Ability to travel.

Communication Skills:

  • Language Requirements: Must be fluent in English.
  • Written: Must be able to assist with RFPs, customer communication.
  • Verbal: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex technology simply.
  • Interpersonal: Ability to forge new, strong business relationships.
  • Good background in Wireless technologies CDMA/EVDO/UMTS
  • Presentation: Customer facing presentations
